Gingerbread Houses

So, this annual tradition was spiced up this year with an adult competition! Not only did the kids have a good time, but the adults got to get creative as well and wait until you see the finished products.

Working hard on their creations.

Must tasted as you go...

Love that cheesy grin!

Baylie's dog house.

Cam enjoyed the tasting that was going on.

Jodi and Mike got started on theirs.

Still amazes me that these two boys are the same age!

So it was a football theme for the competition. David's creative juices brought forth this Heaven and Hell (or Celestial Kingdom and Outer Darkness). Of course, BYU players are in the heaven and the Utah players are elsewhere. Pretty fun!

Jodi and Mike made the football stadium with the huge Jumbo-Tron. If I cared more about football, I would know where that is--so sorry!

My parents cute BYU house.

And Kiley and James' Football field, again with a BYU/Utah theme except they are U fans so it isn't quite as good of course. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and even though we should have won for creativity alone, we happened to win the very fair drawing and an Itunes gift card. Thanks for the fun Mom & Dad!

Cam was pretty exhausted and fell asleep drinking his bottle.

Then we went and watched the light display by my parents house. The kids had such a great time they did not want to leave.

This house is AMAZING. They do such a great job timing the lights with the music. There's like 5 different songs. We went there more than once this Christmas season and Kenadie brought up the good point of saying thank you to them for their hard work. So, next year, if they do it again, we will be giving them a nice card and treat to thank them for the joy they brought to our family!
